The lower you keep your motor temps the lower your resistance will remain thru the run, Maximizing your performance from your power package. These fans are designed to handle a voltage range that allows you to plug directly into the receiver (6.0V)  or directly to the 8.4/8.7v battery providing maximum rpms out of the fan.
