    At the heart of the platform is a Hobby Plus branded Hobbywing 1626-size 8000KV 2-pole inrunner brushless motor paired with a 2S Mini 28 ESC. Hobbywing is a staple of the RC industry and partnering with them over the last several years they have once again delivered a quality RTR spec for the Speck B. The acceleration is smooth. The power is consistent. The reliability is unmatched.  All inputs to the vehicle a wrapped with a FlySky 3-channel transmitter and FlySky ESC/receiver combo. With the FlySky system drivers can expect responsive, reliable control with a refined, “buttery smooth” driving experience.

Built to Perform

     The Speck-B was engineered with versatility in mind—from backyard bashing to competitive racing environments, the Speck B delivers. Just a quick look and you’ll notice how robust each individual part is designed. This gives the basher peace of mind when sending it off your homemade ramps or local skatepark. Racers will appreciate this design philosophy as well with having a tad more weight to it. We’ve found with our own testing as well as with reports coming back from many of our current Speck B users, that it’s more consistent around the track than its competitors and the added weight is likely adding to the consistent performance.

    Small refinements also indicate an increase in performance. A revised transmission center gear no longer requires a break-in period. Slightly lighter shock oil gives a more confident landing off jumps and absorbs small bumps better. To top it off, a new V-Block tire design works just plain works on dirt, concrete, asphalt, carpet and foam surfaces. No more chasing the tire design for a specific surface. And lastly, a taller ball stud on the steering rack side of the drag link has been installed. No more popping off the drag link or having any unwanted friction in that area with the new design.  

   We also have those key features returning that just make the Speck-B easy and fun. Features like the versatile battery compartment with common battery plugs for easy to find aftermarket batteries. The long travel / fully adjustable suspension with quick adjust threaded /oil-filled shock bodies.  A robust 4-gear transmission with a hybrid material equipped metal/plastic mod .5 pitch gears. The transmission is topped off with a sealed, 3-gear differential for fine tuning. Lastly, weight bias adjustments are achieved through battery placement and the front roll center can be adjusted based on your driving style, track surface and overall needs for any given driving condition.
